Parents' Wellbeing

Now, more than ever it is important to support the wellbeing and the mental health of our children and their families.  As a school we are here to support our parents and carers and are always available if you need to talk. 
 
Below is a number of useful links to websites and sources of support that enable parents to get advice and help if they need it.  
 
 
CHUMS- Chums provide emotional wellbeing and bereavement support through one to one support, counselling, group therapy and workshops for children and young people aged 5-17 with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties
 
 
NSPCC- Keeping safe online- Free online safety resources for parents and carers who want more information on how to keep their children safe online.
 
 
Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership- Information and contact numbers for survivors or current victims of domestic abuse.
 
 
NHS- Mental Health Helplines for Urgent Help - NHS 24-hour advice and support for you, your child, your parent or someone you care for. Help is available to speak to a mental health professional.
 
 
Age UK- has useful advice on coping with bereavement and how to get support, including personal stories from other people who have experienced the death of a loved one which may help you feel to feel that you are not alone. They also offer advice on accessing counselling 
 
NHS Adult Psychological Therapies- such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for common problems involving stress, anxiety and depression. IAPT services can be accessed either through a self-referral by contacting your Local IAPT or via your GP.
