We were inspected by Ofsted on 3rd & 4th July 2023.
What a fantastic way to start the new term with our OFSTED report which we have been able to share with you all. We are delighted and really proud to share the good news with you that Ofsted have rated the school as 'GOOD' across the board in all categories, following our inspection 3rd/4th July 2023. The team and I are delighted with the report. The strengths of the school really shine through.
The report has many highlights:

- “Teachers provide praise that helps pupils know what they have done well”
- “Pupils feel safe and happy”
- “Safeguarding is effective”
- “Teachers present information clearly so that pupils know what they are learning”
- “Pupils with SEND are well supported”
- “Pupils behave well and have positive attitudes to learning”
We are also thrilled that the pupils talked about their love of reading and there was significant praise for how we develop pupils’ personal development.
The areas for focus have been identified as developing our curriculum even further to include our youngest children and across all subjects, which we are committed to doing. Once again, I'd like to thank you for all your positive comments and the feedback given to the inspectors and your support for Shillington Lower School.
