We have several benchmark assessments that the children take throughout their school life at Stondon Lower school. Below are all the parent information leaflets about each assessment. The following assessments will be completed:
1. In Reception, the Baseline check is our first benchmark to understand the skills, knowledge and experience the children come with as they enter school life.
2. Phonics Screening check - In year 1, we complete this check to understand whether the children have made the progress they need to in order to learn to read.
3. Optional KS1 SATS - we have decided for our children to undertake these optional assessments so we can check at the year of year 2 they are continuing to be on track within their Reading, Mathematics and Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation.
4. Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) - this check allows us to see if the children have learnt their times tables and can rapidly recall these vital key facts they need for their Mathematics.
